Bad Boy Mike’s One Liners
Well, sometimes two or three.
“They say you can’t fix stupid, but I’m sure as hell try’in.”
“Half the solution to any problem is knowing what the problem is.”
“No one will ever do for you, what you won’t do for yourself.“
To tie these all together, I wake up every day and tell myself, “Real smart Mike. Just look at this cell. You chose this with your actions. Not my best decision’s by far. Talk about stupid.” I definitely figured out the problem pretty quick. First half of my problem solved. The other half of the solution is a work in progress. I’ve learned, if you don’t have the desire to solve your own problems, surely no one else will do it for you!
Those 3 separate lines when put together can change your world. Own what you are. Figure out the “why” factor of what you’ve done. Fix it. So simple, yet the words stupid and dumb ass still exist! I see you cringing at those words. You’re thinking, “those aren’t very nice words.” I agree, that’s why I’m trying so hard to fix stupid.
I don’t really think people are stupid or dumb asses. Those words describe our actions. They’re used in general to allow us to save face when explaining ourselves. If we say, “I did that. Sorry, it was stupid,” we get off pretty easy. I mean everyone’s done stupid sh*t, right?
The scary part is patterns. What if you find yourself always apologizing for the stupid sh*t you’re doing? Is that the point when you become a dumb ass? Yeah, I’m not too sure either. What I am sure about though is consequences can deter stupidity! It’s not a smart or stupid factor. It’s a flawed risk to reward calculation that people do. It’s what you’re willing to endure to gain something you want or need. It can also be an emotional reaction to things outside of your control. Stupid adult temper tantrums. Now that’s truly some stupid, dumb ass sh*t there!
The smarter that people think they are, the dumber is the sh*t they do. Tell me I’m wrong. There is a definite correlation there for sure. I could go on and on about this topic. I may not have gone to college, but I have a doctorate from the University of Hard Knocks. If you’ve read any of my other writings, you’ll remember I majored in dumb ass 101. I’m not sure if that proves the “you can’t fix stupid” saying correct or not. Am I smart, because I’ve figured out the problem? Or am I stupid, because I’ve only got half the solution?
