Eyes Open
By WEALLWEGOT
Hello, my name is Dame.
Today has came to be an eye-opening day to which I was called out on my procrastination and to be honest it has slowed a lot down for me to be able to be released early. I am taking this time to say thank you to a very good friend of mine and to start this as my commitment to doing something every day for an hour.
Bad Boy Mike has still found time to hold me accountable for something that was as simple as writing this message so that it may show society that we are better with each day that goes by not only when we are motivated to pursue our freedom but for change. After speaking to Mike for what seemed to be 15 minutes but really was an hour, I felt as if I was again woke up and told bullshit stinks and the more I keep trying to avoid change in my life the worse the smell gets.
Eventually, without change, it’ll be more and more room for failure. Not that more room is needed. I am a bright young man who has made terrible choices and no matter how much I feel I paid my debt to society it won’t show through the only way prison is designed to show, the programming. This blog and the other many ways bad boy mike has come up with to help the incarcerated people show we can be rehabilitated will come to society on a stronger level when we put our heads together to not only do the work but show it.
As a mentor, a father, a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, and so on… I continue to bring forth my commitment to taking the steps of being a better person.
So I say, Thank you Mike Brunsman.
