The Fact I Live in a 7×9 Prison Cell…
February 22nd, 2022
Year 2009, I was self-employed as a painting contractor living in Orlando Florida with my family. I painted the house of a gentleman by the name of Mike Dooley. He was a co-author of the book called “The Secret”, and a motivational speaker all over the world. He taught me about thoughts becoming things, the laws of universal manifestation, and vision boards. Those efforts were not wasted on me. I use the thoughts becoming things technique daily. I’m posting my heart, mind, and soul, for the world to see. This project is the largest vision board in the world.
The fact I live in a 7×9 foot prison cell—and have been accomplishing my goals from prison—is proof the universe has its way of manifestation, alignment, whatever you want to call it. Hard work, family, God, and a deep desire for a better life sure helps too. Its proof if you “Do The Work”, you can accomplish anything from anywhere!
Thank you Mike Dooley, for taking the time to impart that knowledge to me. Thank you for your patience while I was painting your house, and for the motivational materials you gave me free of charge.
Here is my acronym for Bad Boy Mike. Please keep this in the back of your mind while you’re reading this next post and all future posts from me.

Today is February 22nd, 2022
This is the day I start sharing the actions I’ve taken to turn my life into a positive direction. It all started 10 years ago (to the day) with small steps. Now I take bigger steps and Do The Work!
I hold myself accountable for all I do. This past decade has inspired me to take action and prepare for my future. My future success, choices, and how those will affect my community and loved ones is paramount. If I did not take advantage of this time in prison to do so, that would be plain and simply disrespectful to my kids and parents! They have all paid a price for my past choices (especially my kids). If I do not work towards achieving my potential and goals, then all they have sacrificed will be in vain. That is unacceptable!
People often say “I will reach my potential” and “achieve my goals” without a definition of what those are. They use those statements in general to create an illusion of focus, and understanding of their abilities. I’m astounded when people accept those statements as if we all have the same potential to reach and accomplish goals. I’ve spent 10 years (an entire decade) defining and reexamining mine. I base mine off of my strengths and weaknesses. What I love to do and my effectiveness at it. My abilities and what I’ve accomplished in my life. What I’ve learned and how I do things.
Here are my specific definitions:
MY POTENTIAL IS:
– To make decisions in the moments that define my life that bring me happiness and success.
– To have a positive impact on those around me.
– To work hard and be present in my kids’ lives. My actions will let my kids know how sorry I am for my absence all these years.
– To give my parents a son they can be proud of before they die.
– To give my kids a father they can be proud of before I die.
MY GOALS ARE:
– To work in an industry that I am passionate about and earn money to support myself and my goals.
– I will work in some sort of counseling capacity that will inspire others that are struggling to stay positive and Do The Work to make changes in their lives.
– I will own/operate a food truck or restaurant that specializes in BBQ, pizza, or both.
– I will create a podcast that will fuse the above goals together to reach as many people as possible. I continue to gain outside support in accomplishing this goal.
– My podcast and food business will cross support each other in the fact that;
– My food business will provide the financial freedom to help, change, or save another life through the podcast, and;
– The podcast will motivate people to eat at my food business.
I will revisit this topic in future posts. I have more in-depth details to share. I welcome any constructive criticism and comments, so please post your thoughts.
You found my journey on Bad Boy Mike’s Blog.Com. By no account am I a boy or bad! I am a man grown and accountable for all my past, present, and future decisions. I’ve made some badd ones in the past (yes, bad with a double D). I refuse to let that define who I am. I’ve embraced the given title of Bad Boy Mike as a reminder of my past, who I was, and the opportunities I wasted to make something of my life earlier. Today my choices are correctable and not catastrophic!
I live in a negative, volatile environment where most of the focus is on actions that end with negative consequences. Prison has helped me learn about myself and expose the boy that was in me. By being forced to deal with my emotional and mental immaturities, I’ve learned how I choose to react to my environment and circumstances directly relates to the consequences in my life.
I welcome you to my journey of change from the inside, out (literally & figuratively). Through action, I hope to express the regret I hold in my heart for my past bad decisions and the negative impacts they had on people’s lives. I hope to honor my kids and parents for the damage done by my actions. I can’t sit back any longer and just do nothing with this experience. I don’t want something so costly to end up having zero value to it. Ultimately, I hope to help others avoid damaging, self-destructive thoughts, feelings, and actions that have horrible consequences on their lives and on those around them.
Please Post your comments. They mean more than you can imagine.
Thanks for reading,
Mike
